The VELUX Group itself is owned by VKR, a Danish holding and investment company with the objective to create value through financial investments and ownership of companies. The VKR Group was founded by Villum Kann Rasmussen in 1965 and is still owned by his family. It is governed in part by the VILLUM FONDEN – a foundation which provides funding for non-profit projects with scientific, cultural, artistic, environmental and social. While VELUX is a well-known roof window brand, Altaterra addresses the middle and low segments’ needs. We run over 35 private label brands and supply both the DIY and professional construction sectors as well as having a growing online market. We have achieved our success by building a team that is agile, flexible and customer focused. We know that we can only be successful by being different and working harder.

I am managing a company that is committed to delivering daylight solutions to the highest level of customer satisfaction. My role is to create an environment which allows our teams to develop and the company to grow in line with our long term strategy.
I am leading a team which is developing and delivering a diversified value proposition for our customers. That includes product, communication, pricing and sales tools.
I am responsible for translating the Altaterra Mission into results. Our people are the most important factor in that, so a key element of my role is to make sure we have the best performing team in the industry, obsessed with the customer journey and conducting themselves in line with our company values.
Beside fulfilling Altaterra’s payment obligations, our team is happy to provide both colleagues and (where appropriate) external partners with the most up-to-date financial information from our systems. We’re also responsible for providing clarity in respect of the company’s overall financial performance to the management team, authorities and owners.
My team is determined to ensure the fast, efficient and safe passage of all our products from manufacturer, through our warehouses and distribution network, straight to the door of our customers.
