October 9, 2026 | #Community | 3 minute read
Altaterra supports a local community project in Kampinos National Park, north-west of Warsaw, Poland.

Connecting nature and people
On October 2, “The Moose Trail – Connecting Nature and People”, a new 3.5-kilometre educational trail at Polana Jakubów in Izabelin, was officially opened in Kampinos National Park. The opening took place exactly 75 years after moose returned to the Kampinos Forest.
The project was made possible by a grant of EUR 340,000, approximately PLN 1.5 million, provided by the Employee Foundation of the VKR Group. The grant application was prepared by a volunteer team of Altaterra employees. Altaterra is part of the VELUX Group, with both organisations sharing their roots in the VKR Group.
