Key 2024 sustainability achievements
The key achievements this year include:
• A 60% reduction in our scope 1 & 2 emissions (manufacturing & energy supply) since our baseline year in 2020 which keeps us on track to deliver near-zero by 2030.
• A 7% reduction in our scope 3 emissions (procurement & supply chain) compared to our 2020 baseline. By 2030, we aim to reduce emissions from our value chain by 50%.

Altaterra achieves a significant milestone
An important objective for Altaterra is the transition to a fully zero-emission vehicle fleet by 2030, and we have achieved a significant milestone in terms of meeting this sustainability target.
Only full electric vehicles are now used by our sales team in one of our largest markets, the UK, as since July 2023, all new vehicles joining the fleet have been zero-emission. The last ICE Skoda Octavia was replaced by a fully electric Skoda ENYAQ in November 2024.
As a result, Altaterra can be proud of achieving a 29% share of zero-emission vehicles within the whole European fleet, helping to ensure cleaner air and decarbonization of our region, whilst setting a high standard for the industry to follow.
Altaterra is part of the VELUX Group yet operates as an autonomous entity. The two companies have complementary identities and goals that meet the needs of different market segments. Altaterra’s sustainability results are considered and incorporated into the VELUX Group’s sustainability data and reporting, including the Group’s commitments to reduce emissions, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.
